3D2N: Singapore: Passion Made Possible (Day 3)

Day 3: July 29th, 2019

I woke up a bit late that morning to compensate yesterday's massive loss of energy. I still remember heating a pack of instant rice porridge and spicy cockles at Five Stones Hostel pantry just to kick start the day with quick energy. A cuppa hot coffee is a must to keep my eyes wide open. I left my luggage at the hostel and walked to Bugis MRT station, boarded the train to Farrer Park and walked a little bit to Mustafa Centre. Grabbed my Gucci Rush and a few insignificant buying which was done without careful thought. Yeah, spending SGD like MYR- spend now regret later or? Never regret for what have happened coz what's meant for you is yours hehehe..ala, duit ni macam daki. Hari ni mandi, cuci-cuci bersih, esok dia mai lekat pulak.

Nak catch sunset tapi tah mana-manalah sunset pun. Sempat guna laluan bawah tanah Fullerton Hotel hasil bimbingan hadek-hadek Kota Singa yang ramah tolong ambil gambar dan macam nak teman sekali aku berjalan, heyyy kalau berwajah manis dan memikat memang selalu jadi pojaan, eh?!

Tah gambar pon dah macam tak in sangat, senget. Maybe dah penat jalan la nih

Ok dah malam.

Cantik, tapi sejak nak tua ni aku tak suka tempat sesak, jadi aku tak enjoy. Buat-buat macam enjoy tapi sebenarnya taklah. Bas nak balik lambat lagi.

Tapi ingatlah duit bukan segalanya, always life before money!

3D2N Singapore: Passion Made Possible (Day 2)

 Day 2: July 28th, 2019

I woke up early, early in the morning to walk around Boat Quay while releasing some endorphins for a great day ahead. It was a calming Saturday morning, I really enjoyed the clean looking river and everybody was walking in their own pace regardless their age, shape or colour.

Of course a cuppa of Hot Ginger Tea complemented my energetic morning walk, owh it was so good sipping Teh Halia di tanah orang. Having a comfort like in your own country while travelling is a bliss.

After a good and mood lifting tea sipping session, I walked back to the hostel, packed all my things, could wait no more to check-in at the other hostel.

Yeah..this is my room for another 1 night. The other 3 were Malaysians from Muar, I met them during Subuh Prayer the next morning. Sempat chit-chat sekejap sebelum mereka check out pergi jalan-jalan and me sambung sedikit tidolena dan kemudian mandibasah.

Five Stones Hostel at Beach Road (opposite Parkroyal Hotel)

Owh ya this is still the story on the second day, I went to? Boon Lay - rumah K.Our sebab nak makan tomyam yang dia masak hehehe. I hop on the MRT fro Bugis to Lakeside and then took the feeder bus to her house. I must praise the efficiency of Singapore public transport service, if we could ever make this to happen at least in Klang Valley for a start (especially the waiting time of feeder buses). There's no point of having super punctual train system but when you reach the station, no feeder bus is visible (for 20 minutes or even more) for you to hop on to reach your last mile or you just walk home?

Right after Asar we walked around Jurong Lake Garden, once and for all. Thanks for your time, advice and everything. May our Popia Basah dream will come true.

I like this coffee shop just looking at the appearance but never had a chance to sample their coffee, maybe in the next episode, dunno in what year. Ringgit is depreciating, what to do..

I boarded the train back to Bugis by Maghrib and sitting again at Bhai Sharbat enjoying the other form of good ginger drink that is Hot Ginger Milk. Soothing babeh, soothing.

Arrived the hostel with aching feet, walking from day to night. Good exercise will always lead to a good sleep. Tak percaya?  Cubalah!

3D2N Singapore: Passion Made Possible (Day 1)

Day 1: July 27th, 2019

My ultimate goal for the trip was to visit a friend and also I would really want to experience the most efficient MRT system in South East Asia. I didn't have the chance to try the MRT during my business trip back in July 2011. I hop on the bus in front of Berjaya Times Square straight away to Tuas checkpoint. Singapore's immigration clearance took nearly 2 hours, and I was really annoyed by a Viviet guy queuing in front of me because he pushed his luggage around with his leg all the way for 2 hours. God gives you two hands man! Thanks to Spotify for accompanying my boring queue and I was thinking how the world could improve this immigration clearance waiting time. Can't we build something with the help of Artificial Intelligence to address this problem. I really feel that my time was wasted. Sekian keluh- kesah mak esah.

I arrived Golden Mile Complex around 3 pm. Took the MRT from Nicoll Highway to Clarke Quay Station and checked in at Zen Room. My room is located at 5th floor, hell yeah I had to climb up and down for numerous reasons, and I was dying like a thirsty dog wanting for cold water. I went down to 7E bought some cold drinks and took the train to Bugis Station. Found a nice Musolla at Exit E and performed Solat Jama' Ta'khir, Jama' Ta'payah jangan sekali! And then literally running to meet k.Our at Exit B. k.Our was my senior in high school, a cardiologist in her final sprint finishing Fellowhip in Electrophysiology at National University Hospital of Singapore. May Allah ease her path towards success, amin.

We walk together to Arab Street area finding a good and HALAL certified restaurant for tea time. Frankly speaking I didn't know what to talk about because I haven't seen k.Our since school, that is 23 years ago. So I just eat this nice cheesy dish slowly while trying to start a meaningful conversation. And it seemed not that easy for a shy person like me. Haaa muntah sekarang?

Because it was too hard to break the ice hence we finished all the meals quickly and k.Our went to perform Asar prayer at Masjid Sultan while I went look see look see around the street.

It was an evening with nice weather and the crowd was not that big for a pleasant sightseeing. We stopped by at a unique bookstore and I had a peek at Call Upon Him. This book is not merely a compilation of supplications taken from the Quran and the Sunnah. It is a book written with the sole intention to inspire Muslims to have unquestionable faith in the Most Generous Lord, Allah s.w.t. through the supplications they make to Him.

Right after that we went to the park trying to have even more meaningful conversation and updating each other stories because I couldn't remember any single conversation with her when in school. Or because it was way in dinosaur era and I've lost so many memories of the past in the effort of building a brighter future.

Solat Jama' Taqdim Maghrib+Isya' at Masjid Sultan and then sipping Ginger Tea at Bhai Sarbat right before heading to Bugis Station (me to Clarke Quay and k.Our to her crib in Boon Lay).
