I've made all the arrangements for this trip exactly 2 weeks before flying to Medan on 31st August 2017. From buying the flight tickets, hotel bookings, transport @ supir service and calling Uncle Calvin for 3 am airport transfer to KLIA on the departure day. Yeah, first time leaving on 6.40 am flight. Kinda worried of missing the flight. But hey, things went smoothly and we just sit back and enjoy the journey.

Pak Hilman was already waiting for us at Kualanamu International Airport and brought us straightly to Ayam Penyet Cindelaras for breakfast. Sausage Bun and a muffin on Batik Air weren't sufficient for our gastronomical tanks. I urged Mama to take rice instead of soto or lighter meal because it's gonna be a super far journey to Lake Toba after that. 5 hours on the bumpy road, up and down to Parapat.

Apparently we were hungry again the moment we reached Parapat. But the scenic view of Lake Toba is so magnificent. Just can't take my eyes from enjoying the God's creation, a volcanic lake that was formed some 70,000 years ago.

So we stayed 1 night in Parapat, 1 night in Berastagi and 1 night in Medan. The journey from town to town was a bit tiring but it was worth it. For a person who is living in a busy city, I appreciate nature at its best and hoping that this vacation will last longer. Ahh looks like I need another short getaway this weekend :p
